Agro Tech Foods is the latest stock pick of Porinju Veliyath's EQ INDIA FUND.

Today, 12th April 2018, EQ INDIA FUND bought 150000 shares of Agro Tech Foods in bulk deal on NSE.

The Bulk Deal took place at Rs. 650 per share.

EQ INDIA FUND is the PMS of Porinju Veliyath.

•Agro Tech Foods Limited is engaged in the business of marketing food and food ingredients to consumers and institutional customers.

•The Company offers its products under various categories, which include edible oils and sprays; snacks; soups, puddings and desserts; spreads, and meals and meal enhancers.

•The Company's brands include Sundrop Oils, ACT II Popcorn, Sundrop Peanut Butter, Crystal and ACT II Nachoz.

•Sundrop offers a range of oils to its consumers, such as Heart, Olivea, Nutrifit, Heartlite, Slimlite, Goldlite and Lite, among others.

•ACT II Popcorn is available in approximately three variants, which include microwave popcorn, instant popcorn and ready-to-eat popcorn.

•Its subsidiaries include Sundrop Foods India Private Limited, Agro Tech Foods (Bangladesh) Pvt. Ltd. and Sundrop Foods Lanka (Private) Limited.

Company Synopsis:

•A total of 7 plants are expected to start operations by FY20.

•In addition to the 5 currently operating plants of ATFL, the 6th plant is under construction at Chittoor. The operations of the 6th plant are expected to commence from FY’19.

•One of the prominent investors include Mr. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala owning 7.05% stake in the company. Parent Company Information:

•ATFL is owned by ConAgra Foods Inc., USA. ConAgra is a leading food services company with a variety of brands which cater to customers in retail packaged form as well as through catering industry having a net operating income of Rs.62,489.6mn in FY17.

Great company was staganant as it was overvalued for the past 3 years.With the time correction it now looks very attractive for a secular growth for next 5 years. A must have compounder in your portfolio.
